Audiomobile was started by Mr. Yoon S. Kim in 1991 in Oakland at 307 11th St. It nestles in the heart of Oakland Chinatown in a 2000 square foot space with half the space for retail and the other half for the installation shop. The shop could barely fit 4 vehicles and on some days installations would take place on the sidewalk.
Over the years Audiomobile has become an employee succession company and is now owned by Bao Le and David Trinh, the 3rd and 4th owners respectively. Both of whom have been working at Audiomobile for more than 8 years. In the beginning services offered were only related to car stereo sound systems and car security protection. With each new owner brings more opportunities for more services. Today in addition to car stereo systems and security, Audiomobile have services of 12 volt electrical troubleshooting, headlight upgrades, auxiliary lighting upgrades, solar charging systems, overlanding builds, ceramic window tint, GPS tracking, and much more.
In 2020, after being in Oakland Chinatown for almost 30 years Audiomobile moved to its current location in Hayward on Mission Blvd. With over 3 times the original space, Audiomobile can better serve the greater Bay Area with the same quality and care it’s known for.
